When first designed, the ModelRemodel home was going to have wood floors throughout the entire lower level. The brick flooring would be torn out.

During a walk-through shortly before demolition, the project manager asked crews to save a portion of the brick pavers.

Why?

“I just thought we might need it,” he said.

Sure enough, the homeowner decided to keep the brick in one of the front rooms. It has three different entries. All of them need pieces of the original brick installed across the threshold in order to match.

There’s a saying that applies here: “Planning is bringing the future into the present so that you can do something about it now.”
